Improve the window thermal performance using PSA mixed silica aerogel for building energy saving

Abstract

Aerogels have a high surface area, low density, open pore structure and excellent insulation properties. We mixed pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) and aerogel using a homogenizer. A mixture of the adhesives and silica aerogels coated film can reduce whole film thermal conductivity. But this film can't be pasted on the glass because adhesion strength is reduced. To improve the adhesion strength it is coated on both sides. Thermal conductivity was measured by a TCi thermal conductivity analyzer.
