Business process management adoption and improving functions in construction companies

Abstract

In Korean construction companies, adopting process management technique has been recently expanding to improve business performance. For that reason the interest about BPM which can visualize and ameliorate business process also is increasing. However it is difficult to adopting BPM practically for the lack of current research about improving functions when adopting BPM. So this study presents the basic data for adopting BPM in construction companies. To accomplish this goal, first we study theoretically process management, second we research current adopting situation of process management in Korean construction companies. Then we indicate improvement effects when adopting BPM in construction companies, finally we propose improving functions of BPM through the survey data analysis of business administration specialists in construction companies.
