Web application developers are moving towards Web Services as a mechanism for developing component-based Web applications. Accordingly, the number of available web services is steadily increasing, and many applications are being developed by reusing web services. Therefore it is necessary to construct a new web service using several existing web services for reusability and productivity. This paper proposes a tool to construct a new web service by synthesizing several existing web services. The architecture of the tool, the process, and the algorithm to construct a web service are described. Through the tool, developers can construct new web services automatically, rapidly, easily, and inexpensively using existing web services. © 2006 IEEE.-
