- Abstract
- This project uses the Kinect node provided by VVVV and connects the Kinect node and VVVV. Node acknowledges through the Kinect users, user position value of the position of the one hand, x, y and z values received. A skeleton node acknowledges users through Kinect device and gets the position of users and x, y, z values of each user’s hand. The conceptual theme of project “Illusion” is inspired by surrealism. This work utilizes the distance sensor and recognizes the user and user’s particular joints’ position. By creating a virtual space using the recognition of user’s position, their bodies can get surreal experiences to communicate with natural environment like trees and waves. The wave and branches of tree represent the surreal and dream-like sequence but perceiving actual movements by the user’s hand gestures. In this paper, this work was implemented in the artistic meaning of the interactive systems, as well as technical details for effective user-attractable interactive user interface design elements. © Rushing Water Publishers Ltd. 2019.
