Abstract
With the widespread use of the IoT, there is an increasing threat to the systems and data of IoT devices that handle user security-sensitive data about users. In particular, if the IoT gateway, which serves as a gateway between the IoT devices and the Internet, is exposed to malicious attacks, serious problems may occur in the entire IoT computing system. This paper proposes a technique to efficiently classify and manage data in order to enhance the security of resource-constrained IoT gateways. Experiments show that even if the number of connected devices and data to be processed increases, the performance of the IoT gateway is not significantly degraded by the proposed technique. © 2019 Association for Computing Machinery.
