- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of DanceSport coach’s attractiveness on basic psychological needs and exercise adherence of DanceSport players. The research subjects for this study were selected from DanceSport player across the country. Among them, samples are chosen by convenience sampling method, and the data and information on 196 players were used in the analysis actually. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlational analysis and multiple regression analysis in the SPSS 18.0. Results obtained from this research are as follows. First, the study showed that DanceSport coach’s attractiveness affected the basic psychological needs. Second, it was shown that DanceSport coach’s attractiveness affected the exercise adherence of DanceSport players. Third, it was also shown that basic psychological needs affected the exercise adherence of DanceSport players. These results showed that DanceSport coach’s attractiveness is the important factor in explanation of the basic psychological needs and exercise adherence of DanceSport players.
