dc.description.abstract“Shogakuseizenshu(小学生全集)”(88volumes) is a children's liberal Arts series jointly published by Bungeishunju and Kobunsya, planned and edited by Kan Kikuchi. In the 1920s, during the “one-yen book boom”, it was published from 1927 to 1929 as a children's reading material containing various contents such as literature, science, music, art, sports, and hobbies. Many of the studies on “shogakuseizenshu” focused on the publishing world as a major issue, such as the propaganda battle with Arusu Publishing's “Nihon Jidobunko(日本児童文庫)”, which was published at the same time under the same project, and the lawsuits. There is not enough holistic research on the overall structure and content. This paper clarifies the actual status of publication from the changes from planning to publication and bibliographic information. This compensates for the fact that previous research has focused on the early stages of publication. Comparing “Content sample” distributed before publication with “shogakuseizenshu” actually published, there was a change in the editor and author due to the death of co-editor Ryunosuke Akutagawa. And It was confirmed that the junior high school entrance examination system was abolished and the content of the separate volume was changed significantly. Originally, one book for beginners and two books for advanced students were scheduled to be distributed each month, but there were changes in the number of books, and due to the New Year’s holiday, the book was distributed twice at the end of the year. In addition, from the “reader’s communication” recorded at the end of each volume, grasped the reader’s situation, analyzed the “reader’s list”, the reader’s “notes”, and the “scholarship recipient list”, outside Japan, confirmed the acceptance and reaction overseas such as China, Korea, Taiwan, and the United States.-
