Abstract
With the recent increase in particulate matter across the country, demand for air purification devices including high-efficiency filters has increased. Still, there is a lack of research on the life and performance of filters. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to test the change in performance according to the relative humidity and aging of the filter. Considering the shape change of particles according to relative humidity, we tested the aerosol removal efficiency of the filter and took SEM analysis. Differential pressure and wind guage were also measured at the front and rear ends of the filter box. As a ventilation device, a device with 150 CMH was used that is distributed on the market, and HEPA filter (H13) was used alone. The result of the measurement confirmed that filter with high relative humidity condition in same aged condition shows a positive effect in terms of aerosol removal efficiency, differential pressure and wind guage have higher values. Comparing the aged filter with the new filter, the aged filter showed a low value in terms of aerosol removal efficiency and differential pressure. Therefore, this study confirmed significant performance variation of filter in difference with relative humidity and aging condition.
