Abstract
As an abbreviation of Massive Open On-line Course, MOOC is available for interaction between professors and students, unlike existing on-line education, anyone can participate in classes, and it is expected to become an innovative educational model to bring up creative and critical thinking. Recently MOOC system is being rapidly expanded throughout the world, and in case of Korea and Vietnam it is still in introduction stage and has various educational problems. This study aims at comparing the difference between Korea and Vietnam to see on what elements people who need education accept MOOC information system. As for a research model this study is designed based on technology acceptance model (TAM), and analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). As a result of research, there was difference in elements which influence on Popularity (PO), Reputation (REP), and Information Richness (INFO) between Korea and Vietnam, among intention to use. It is considered that the reason is cultural difference between socialism of Vietnam and democracy of Korea. This study has its meaning in providing MOOC system educational model developers and service providers with useful information. © 2017 International Information Institute.
