A study of a foley sound contents based on analysis and compare of frog crying sound

Abstract

This research identifies utilization value of Frog crying sound, which was used in drama or movie in early broadcasting time, by comparing and analyzing its Foley and Actual sounds. Today, Actual Frog crying sound is recorded by high lhnctional portable recording equipment but in early times when there was no portable recorder, Foley sound had to be made. For comparative analysis of Actual and Foley crying sound of Frog, production theory and usage of equipments used in making Foley sound were studied. Based on result of comparative analysis of the two sounds, their similarity was proven and at the same time, creativity and exclusivity were researched. Tools used for making Foley Frog crying sound are very unique and interesting and thus, it is worth developing them into sound contents for performance, exhibition, and experience activities. © 2016 International Information Institute.
