- Abstract
- To propose a way to have English natives speak Korean language more accurately and effectively this research has examined different in energy between English natives and Korean natives as well as changes in the energy. Based on linguistic studies on Korean, learning of foreigners, this study has attempted engineer approach in terms of signal processing. For comparative research, this research has collected data from speakers of English natives and Korean natives for analyzing changes in energy and afterwards, examined frequency distribution of sound signals. To enable foreigners to pronounce Korean fluently, it is important to practice keeping a certain strength, size, and speech time of syllable which forms each sound in accordance to characteristics of Korean language. Looking at the result of comparative analysis on energy, English natives had relatively rapid changes in its energy gradient in the initial energy range. It is found that accurate pronunciation of speakers has a very close relationship with energy changes. ©2016 International Information Institute.
