- Abstract
- In Korea, manufacturing industry has been the driving force behind Korea's economic growth for the last 40 years, but there are concerns that the competitiveness of domestic manufacturing industry has been declining in recent years.
How can we strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs? The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between entrepreneurship and corporate performance in the domestic manufacturing industry based on the findings that entrepreneurship plays a key role in enhancing the competitive advantage and business performance of companies Respectively.
The main results are as follows. First, CEO entrepreneurship and Corporate entrepreneurship have a significant effect on competitiveness and significant mediating effects of Corporate entrepreneurship are found in CEO entrepreneurship and firm competitiveness. Second, as a result of analyzing the sample into large companies and small and medium enterprises, the direct effect of CEO entrepreneurship on competitiveness was 0.52, which was higher than that of small and medium enterprises, while indirect effect was 0.239 The direct effect of CEO entrepreneurship on competitiveness was 0.42, which was slightly higher than that of small and medium enterprises, while the indirect effect was higher than that of small firms The service industry was 0.296, which was higher than the manufacturing industry 0.211.
Based on the results of this study, it is necessary for the government to establish a policy plan for enhancing entrepreneurial spirit by deviating from the material support methods such as regulatory reform, financial support, In addition, SMEs are urged to encourage employees to take drastic challenges in finding new opportunities, and to establish an institutional and cultural basis for organizational units that accept them even if these challenges fail.
