- Abstract
- In a quiet and silent rural village of Namyangjusi, Gyeonggido, south korea there was unknown explo sion from one day and residents felt anxious. It was analyzed because its explosion sound was similar to t he one that is produced when digging underground tunnel but it was turned out not. Also, it might be th e sound coming from explosion in construction area, military training, nearby skiing place so there was an investigation but it was proved not. When gas boiler starts operation gas is released to provide electricity to ignition point. In this case sparks appear but does not ignite easily. However, if fire starts with exposu re to a lot of gas it may make boom sound so certain villas are carefully watched. Even this was proved n ot. It was told that the sound is similar to hunting rifle and shotgun and it was really alike. As scope of i nvestigation on unknown explosion sound narrows and while continuously searching with the confidence it is compressive explosion sound based on its sound source characteristics, it was identified to be the sou nd of gunshot by exorcist to chase away ghosts. © 2017 International Information Institute.
