dc.description.abstract | The errors and features, which can be appeared when Chinese speaks Korean language, are presented in this paper. These are not only analyzed by the variations of several parameters widely used in speech signal analysis but also compared to its parameters of Korean natives. For such comparative study, Korean consonant/s/2/and its associated vowel, which are known as one of the difficult pronunciation for Chinese, are tested. In this paper, the short-time energy, the pitch based on the autocorrelation function, and the Formant frequencies are measured and analyzed. Addition to these parameters, both the speech waveform in time domain and the spectrogram are considered as supporting parameters. According to the short-time energy analysis of this study Chinese speaker's Korean/2/pronunciation is drastically varied while Korean natives are not. Also, both the fundamental frequency (F0) and the Formant frequencies - used the fl vs. f2 graph - between Korean natives and Chinese speakers are compared. The results of this comparative study can be contributed to reduce the errors that could be appeared when Chinese learn Korean language. © 2017 International Information Institute. | - |
