In this paper, we propose a new interleaving method for solving burst errors that occur in page oriented data storage channels. We compare the performance with other interleaving techniques. Burst errors frequently occur in holographic data storage channels. Many interleaving schemes have been proposed to solve these burst error problems. At 1024 x 1024 pixels, the proposed interleaving scheme provides 1.5-2.0 dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) gain compared to other interleaving schemes. Also, at 256 x 256 pixels, the proposed interleaving scheme provides 4.5-5.0 dB more SNR gain compared to other interleavers. (C) 2015 The Japan Society of Applied Physics-
