- Abstract
- This paper presents an intelligent disaster evacuation system using IoT (Internet of Things) technologies. Although modernized plants and buildings have fire and gas (F&G) systems and there exist integrated operation systems for disaster occurrences, they cannot provide appropriate information for immediate evacuation based on real-time contextual information. In order to overcome the limitations of current fire evacuation systems, context awareness technologies based on IoT technologies have been applied. The proposed system can provide the most appropriate voice-guided information under the current disaster situation. The information for the people in the building to evacuate properly can be generated automatically by the intelligent disaster evacuation system and safety delivery platform presented in this paper. It is expected that the proposed system could contribute to the significant enhancement of fire evacuation system and security levels of complex buildings or facilities. © 2015, ICIC Express Letters Office.
