Abstract
This research obtains evaluation details of professionals about personal statement written by North Korean refugees and tries to do quantitative analysis on statement to find out if it is valid. Verification on three items was made consequently. Their personal statements tend to contain: 1) many details related with parents, and 2) difficulties they have experienced. Also, 3) it was found that most of the writers did not clearly understand the genre of personal statement. It is expected that more efficient education could be made if details dealt with in this research would reflect and be contained in the education of personal statement for high school students among North Korean refugees in the future.
