미국과 한국의 음악연구 논문작성체제 및 연구윤리의 현황과 과제

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 현재 미국과 한국의 음악과 관련한 논문작성법 및 연구윤리규정을 비교/분석하여 음악분야의 특수성을 고려한 논문작성법과 연구윤리 관련 상황을 제시하고, 음악연구유형 및 학문분야에 기초한 체계적인 음악 분야의 연구논문 작성과 올바른 연구실천 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 현재 미국의 음악과 관련된 학술연구 분야의 논문작성법 및 연구윤리 가이드라인을 비교·분석하여 현재 미국 현황을 소개하였고, 이를 한국의 음악과 관련한 학술연구재단 등재(후보)지의 논문작성과 연구윤리에 관한 현황과 비교하였다. 그 결과 미국의 경우 논문작성법 및 연구윤리규정에 대한 내용이 상당히 방대하며, 인용 및 출처 표시방법과 같은 실제 논문작성에 관한 방법과, 표절 및 중복게제의 판정기준 및 절차, 그리고 사람과 관련된 연구윤리기준 및 연구윤리위반시 처리 방안이 매우 명확한 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 한국의 경우 대부분의 한국의 음악관련 학술지들이 미국의 대표적인 논문작성법인 MLA, APA 그리고 시카고 매뉴얼·튜라비안 양식을 우리나라의 상황에 맞추어 사용하고 있었으며, 연구윤리에 대한 규정, 특히 사람을 대상으로 하는 연구윤리가 미국에 비해 상대적으로 명확하게 제시되지 못하고 있어, 이에 대한 명확한 규정을 세우는 것이 시급한 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze writing styles and ethics for research in music subjects between Korea and United States. This study focused on the styles of citing sources and avoiding plagiarism. Also, this study discussed research ethics for human participant protections. The result indicated that most of Korean journals for music subjects have a loan of American writing styles and ethics including MLA, APA, Chicago Manual, and Turabian styles. This study suggested that Korean journals for music subjects need to clarify the terminologies for research of music subjects and establish the writing styles. In addition, recommendations and conclusions were provided for korean journals of music subjects for clarifying styles of citing sources and avoiding plagiarism and educating research ethics.
