- Abstract
- The purpose of the research is (1) to compare the two groups which are middle school P.E teachers and School sports club instructors in terms of transactional contract and relational contract, which are the two sub-dimensions of psychological contract, (2) to compare the two groups in terms of the organizational citizenship behavior, (3) to analyze in terms of the causal influence of transactional and relational contract on organizational citizenship behavior. Total 329 responses were utilized(P.E teacher: 178; Instructor: 151). The data was analyzed with MANOVA and multiple-regression analysis to accomplish the research objectives. First, the results indicated that school sport club instructors had statistically higher mean of transactional contract than P.E teachers. However, there was no statistical difference in mean values for transactional contract fulfillment. Second, the results of MANOVA indicated that P.E teachers had statistically higher mean of OCB than school sport club instructors. Third, the multiple regression analysis indicated that the analysis of data on P.E teachers revealed that relational contract had significant positive effects on OCB, whereas transactional contract had significant negative effects on OCB. Lastly, in the case of school sport club instructors, relational contract had significant positive effect and transactional contract had no significant influence on OCB.
