문화콘텐츠 속 여성상의 변화양상 - 옛이야기를 원천으로 한 콘텐츠를 중심으로 -

Abstract

본고는 다양한 문화콘텐츠 속 여성상의 변화양상을 비교분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 분석 대상은 옛이야기를 원천으로 한 문화콘텐츠를 중심으로 한정했다. 여성의 권위신장이라는 사회적 기조변화에 발맞추어 문화 콘텐츠 속 여성들의 모습도 많이 변화하였다. 애니메이션 <뮬란(1998)> 속 뮬란과 <라푼젤(2010)>의 라푼젤에게서 그러한 변화양상을 찾아 볼 수 있었다. 최근 영화계의 트렌드로 자리 잡은 원천 콘텐츠의 영화화현상은 다양한 여성상을 탄생시켜 발전적 변화를 이루었다는 점에서 주목할 만했다. 안젤리나졸리가 연기한 영화 <말레피센트(2014)> 의 말레피센트는 개성을 지닌 인물로묘사되어 마녀임에도 불구하고 많은 이들에게 사랑을 받았다. <스노우 화이트앤 더 헌츠맨(2012)> 속 마녀로 등장하는 여왕은 못생기거나 괴팍하게만 그려졌던 과거와 달리 주인공인 백설 공주보다 아름다운 모습으로 그려진다. 영화라는 매체의 특성상 여왕이 악하게 변모한 이유에 있어 대중의 설득력을 얻을필요가 있었다. 서사구조상 타당성을 획득하여 한층 현실적이고 때로는 동정심을 불러일으키는 모습의 새로운 마녀가 등장했다.

This paper is analyzed the changing pattern of female characters by comparing the various cultural contents. Analyzing targets are the animations and the movies. The female character of Disney animation has been changed in many ways. For example, Mulan in <Mulan> and Rapunzel in <Tangled>. We can understand the new aspects of female character from them. How could it be transformed now and then. The movie which was filmed based on the fairy tales are now the trend of the cinema industry. They achieved a progressive change that make the variety female character, such as Maleficent in <Maleficent> the Queen Ravenna in <Snow White and the Huntsman>. <Maleficent> was a box office hit success because of ingenious character such as Maleficent. The Queen Ravenna in <The Snow White and the Huntsman> is described more glamourously beautiful then Snow White. Due to the nature of the medium of film, Queen Ravenna character needs the persuasive reasons why it escalated to that evil. After obtaining a narrative structure, realistic and sometimes even the feasibility of a new witch figure appeared.
