- Abstract
- This study analyzes the educational characteristics of college-level photography-related courses in other departments. For this study, 102 departments across 25 universities are selected and are categorized into grades and types in the curriculum analysis. This study shows that photography is mostly offered by the departments that are in the same division-the arts and physical education. Also, it is found that photography classes are taught in a format of practical + theories rather than merely based on theories. Further, the courses generally focus on theories of foundations photography and fundamental practical photography. © 2015 International Information Institute.
