‘서울마을미디어’의 다중 실천과 문화정치적 의미에 대한 연구: 네그리와 하트의 ‘다중’ 개념을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 서울마을미디어 활동을 중심으로 공동체미디어들의 다중실천 가능성과 그 행위들을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 특히, 공동체미디어가 보통 사람들의 언어로 삶의 이야기와 사회적 이슈들을 공유하는 문화적 실천행위를 담보하고 있다는 특성에 기인했을 때 서울마을미디어는 공동체미디어들의 소통과 연대를 도모하는 네트워크라는 점에서 의미가 있다. 나아가 서울마을미디어가 개인주의적 문화가 팽배한 자본주의 사회에 공동체의식을 복권할 수 있는 매개가 될 수 있다는 점에서 사회적 가치가 있다. 이를 위해 네그리와 하트가 주창하는 ‘다중(Multitude)’에 대한 사유를 이론적 틀로 사용하고자 한다. 이때 다중이 지니고 있는 존재론적 가능성, 집단적 실천행위를 통한 지적생산방식, 대안적 상상력을 바탕으로 하는 대항권력의 가능성을 고찰해 보았을 때, 다중이론은 서울마을미디어를 분석할 수 있는 유의미한 이론적 근거가 된다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 서울마을미디어 내 여러 공동체미디어 활동가들과의 질적 심층인터뷰를 통해 서울마을미디어가 갖는 다중실천의 가능성 및 문화정치적 의미들을 도출하고자 한다.

This study focus to analyze the possibility of multitude practices and actions of community media in <Seoul maeul media>. Specially, <Seoul maeul media> has a meaning that is the network for promoting communication and solidarity, result from characteristic of community media to guarantee cultural practice that share life stories and social issues based on language of ordinary people. Futhermore, <Seoul maeul media> is worthy of social value because it can be a vehicle of reinstatement about consciousness of community in individualistic culture and capital society. In order to examine <seoul-maeul media>, this study draws on the theory of multitude by Antonio Negri and Michael Hardt. The multitude concept provides theoretical basis for studying <Seoul maeul media>, this inquires into the possibility of contre-pouvoir based on the ontological possibility, intellectual production method through collective practice, and alternative imagination. Founded on this discussions, this study to draw sociocultural meanings and possibilities of multitude practice from in-depth Interviews were conducted with activists of several community media in <Seoul maeul media>.
