전통공연예술에 대한 위험지각이 관람행동에 미치는 영향 - 합리적 행동이론을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 합리적 행동이론을 중심으로 전통공연예술에 대한 위험지각이 관람 행동에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것이다. 그리고 문화 소비에 영향을 주는 문화자본의 보유 정도와 한국인의 특성을 반영한 자민족중심주의의 상호작용효과를 검증해보았다. 전통공연예술에 대해 소비자들이 느끼는 위험은 ‘사회적 위험’ , ‘시간적 위험’ , ‘심리적 위험’ , ‘금전적 위험’ , ‘성능적 위험’ 등 다섯 가지 하위 요인으로 분류되었다. 이렇게 분류된 다섯 가지 위험지각 하위 요인을 전통공연예술에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 ‘금전적 위험’을 제외한 네 가지 위험요인이 전통공연예술에 대한 태도에 유의미하게 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 전통공연예술에 대한 위험지각이 태도에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 문화자본 보유정도의 상호작용효과를 분석한 결과, 역시 부모님으로 물려받은 문화예술에 대한 관심 ‧ 정보 ‧ 활동의 상속자본과, 현재 나의 문화예술에 대한 관심 ‧ 정보 ‧ 활동인 총자본 모두 상호작용효과를 보이는 것을 확인되었다. 합리적 행동이론 모델을 근거로 태도와 주관적 규범이 관람의도에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 태도 및 주관적 규범 모두 관람의도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 마지막으로 주관적 규범과 관람의도 사이에서 자민족중심주의 역시 상호작용효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이상과 같은 검증을 통해 점차 경쟁이 치열해지는 공연예술 환경에서 살아남고 전통공연예술이 대중화할 수 있는 더욱 효과적이고 효율적인 방안을 마련할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

With recent increase of interest and consumption on cultural arts, performing arts receive much attention as one of the leisure activities. However, there is no much attention in the Korean traditional performing arts because most of performing arts are concentrated in the western performing and popular arts. This study tries to identify risk factors in the Korean traditional performing arts, i.e. the root of Korean culture, which consumers find uncertain and unfamiliar. Since the risk involved with the traditional performing arts is a barrier to attending the Korean traditional performance, this study uses TRA model and perceived risk as the exogenous variables. Furthermore, among these factors, this study verifies the moderated effect of cultural capital and ethnocentrism. It is found that empirical results of this research support TRA theory well and the moderated effect of cultural capital and ethnocentrism have influence on consuming behaviors in the Korean traditional performing arts. The findings of our analysis are applicable to the Korean traditional performing arts and are able to provide effective and efficient policy suggestions for popularizing the traditional performing arts.
