- Abstract
- Purpose: Nurse-physician collaboration has recently emphasized as one of important factors to improve quality of patient care. In fact, health care professionals fail to collaborate fully with each other.Method: In this study, we conducted survey about perception of nurse-physician collaboration for students.Self assessment about collaboration by nursing and medical students was done through ACLS simulation. Results: Although both groups agreed about importance of collaboration, their perception and ability to perform it in actual situation showed difference. Concepts of collaboration defined by two groups were different each other. Non-technical skill (NTS) such as communication could improve collaboration with nurse and physicians. Conclusion: Since health professionals lack of opportunity to education about NTS, implement of NTS in curriculum of medical, and nursing students could be considered.
