영화 『밴디트』연구-영화의 표현주의와 자유의 개념에 대하여-

Abstract

영화 『밴디트』의 영상과 사운드를 살펴보고 밴디트에 나타난 자유를 분석했다. 감독인 카챠 폰 가르니에(Katja von Garnier)는 여성 주체에게 주어진 현실 상관적 토대가 남성우위 사회라는 전제 아래 일상으로부터의 일탈을 통해 진정한 자유의 계기를 모색했는데,『밴디트』에서는 표현주의 요소를 통하여 자신의 페미니즘에 대한 의식과 자유에 대한 이야기가 나타나고 있다. 음악과 영상의 조화를 이뤄 낸 『밴디트』는 표현주의 영화다. 음악과 영상을 이용하여 감독 자신의 의도를 현실적 공간이 아닌 영화 속에서 과장하여 드러내었다. 『밴디트』는 인간이라는 존재가 자유를 쟁취하기 위해 현실과 대응하는 다양한 방식을 보여주었다. 음악과 자유를 같은 것으로 보았을 때, 『밴디트』 음악적 요소를 영화 전반에 배치함으로서 젊은이들의 자유를 향한 외침이라는 메시지를 효과적으로 표현했다.

With investigating visual and sound, I had a research on freedom that has appeared on the movie. The director Katja von Garnier had made a study on the motive of the real freedom that was given to the female subject through the escape of the ordinary days under the conditions of the society that is concentrated on the male. Through the expressionism elements in the movie 『Bandits』, the director shows us the tales about the freedom and consciousness. 『Bandits』that has achieved the harmony of the sound and visual is the one of the expressionism tendency. By making use of the sound of the visual, the director herself has exposed her own intention with the exaggeration and distortion in the movie, not actual space.『Bandits』shows us the diverse methods responding to the actual to obtain the freedom. I thought that the freedom and the music are the same ones. For that purpose, in the movie 『Bandits』, the musical elements have been placed on the whole part of the movie and they express the message like the crying of the young toward the freedom.
