가정에서 유아-부모가 함께하는 자연체험활동의 현황 및 요구

Abstract

본 연구는 가정에서 유아와 부모가 함께하는 자연체험활동에 대한 현황과 요구를 알아보고 자연체험활동의 활성화를 위한 기초정보를 제공하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 서울 지역의 유치원 3곳의 어머니 317명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 먼저 어머니의 취업유무와 어린 시절 자연체험 정도에 따라 자연체험활동의 현황과 자연체험활동에 대한 요구에 어떠한 차이가 있는지 알아보았다. ‘자연체험활동의 현황’은 자연체험활동의 유형, 자연체험활동의 시간, 부모가 느끼는 자연체험활동의 필요성, 자연체험활동의 어려움에 대해 살펴보았고, ‘자연체험활동에 대한 요구’는 자연체험활동에 대한 지원 희망, 자연체험활동에 대한 지원 내용, 자연체험활동에 대한 지원 방식을 알아보았다. 연구결과 가정에서 유아-부모가 함께하는 자연체험활동은 어머니의 취업유무와 어린 시절 자연체험 정도에 따라 자연체험활동의 유형과 시간 및 시간에 대한 만족, 그리고 자연체험활동의 어려움에 차이가 있었다. 그러나 자연체험활동에 대한 필요성은 모두 높게 인식하였고 자연체험활동에 대한 지원을 희망하였다. 이에 부모들에게 자연체험활동의 가치를 알리고 부모의 적극적인 참여를 격려할 수 있는 부모교육의 필요성이 요구된다.

The purpose of this study was to provide basic information by surveying the current status and demands for nature experience activities of child and mothers at home. The questionnaires were operated to the subjects of 317 mothers in 3 kindergartens. First, it was investigated differences of current status and needs of nature experience activities for young children according to their mothers’ employment condition in the present and their nature experiences in their childhood. 'The current status of nature experience activities were comprised of categories for nature experience activities, times for nature experience activities, needs for nature experience activities, difficulties for nature experience activities. and 'The demands of nature experience activities were comprised of supports for nature experience activities, contents for nature experience activities, ways for nature experience activities. The results of this study for nature experience activities of child and mothers at home were differences in categories, times, satisfaction with times, and difficulties for nature experience activities according to their mothers’ employment condition in the present and their natural experiences in their childhood. But mothers were aware of needs for nature experience activities, wanted supports for nature experience activities. Therefore, it is suggested that the needs of parents education to encourage active participate of parents and inform the values of nature experience activities.
