Abstract
A graph based encoding method for shoe sole patterns is presented. The graph edit distance is extended recursively to measure the similarity between two multilayer graphs. A pilot system is implemented and the validity of the proposed method is tested with 300 real sole images. The correct retrieval rate is about 93%.
