- Abstract
- A paraben derivative, methyl 3-acetyl-4-hydroxybenzoate (1), was isolated from the seeds of Lithospermum erythrorhizon, together with beta-sitosterol and daucosterol, through open column chromatography and prep-HPLC. Methyl 3-acetyl-4-hydroxybenzoate (1) was isolated for the first time from nature, and elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis.
