Abstract
The high-spin states of Nb-93 are studied by the Se-82(O-16, p4n)Nb-93 reaction at a beam energy of 100MeV. The in-beam gamma-ray spectroscopic techniques are used. The gamma t-, gamma gamma t-coincidence, gamma-ray angular distributions, and linear polarizations are measured. The configurations of the resultant levels are assigned by comparing them with those of the deformed independent particle model (DIPM) calculation. A high-spin isomer with a half life of 1.5(5) mu s is found above the 37/2((-)) state at 7436keV. A possible M1 rotational band is found to start from the 37/2((-)) state. This band shows the characteristics of an oblate collective rotational band.
