- Abstract
- This study explores the self psychological factors of Korean dancers effecting a competition result. For this purpose, this research analyzes the relationship between dancers’ inner-external psychological factors and being one of the winners. Firstly, as internal factors, competition winners have realized that technical/physical exercise and the dance are closely related. And for that they have carried out those two together. They also did image training to be deeply absorbed into their work, and this has resulted in them to take the stress and slumps positively. Also, choreographers and dancers maintained friendly relationships. Secondly, in the matter of an external factor, it is found out that competition winners also feel insecure. However, this anxiety appears to be focusing on their position rather than focusing towards their competitors or the list of orders. As a result, we need psychosomatic training and counseling programs which offer competition participants a positive outcome of their competition.
