이야기치료의 국내 연구동향 분석: 1996~2018

Abstract

본 연구는 국내에서 발간된 화이트와 앱스톤의 이야기치료 관련 학술연구의 경향을 파악하고 향후 연구, 실천, 교육훈련에 대한 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 1990년대부터 2018년 상반기 현재까지 발간된 학위논문과 학술지논문을 검색하여 최종 107편을 분석대상으로 선정하고 이를 실천연구와 비실천연구로 구분하여 연구의 경향을 세부적으로 파악하였다. 연구 결과, 국내 이야기치료 연구는 단기간에 양적으로 성장하면서 다양한 대상과 단위로 확대되어온 경향을 보여주었다. 그러나 이 접근의 확대 적용과 발전을 위해 보다 엄밀하고 체계적이면서도 후기구조주의 세계관과 일관된 방식의 연구방법론에 대한 연구자들의 관심과 적용 노력이 요구되었다. 또한 가족치료 모델의 하나로서 이야기치료가 한국에서 가족치료 실천과 연구에 주는 시사점을 논의하였다.

Objectives: This study aims to investigate the current research trend for White and Epston’s narrative therapy in Korea and to suggest implications for future research, practice, and education/training of this particular approach. Methods: The authors searched for dissertations and articles that had been published between 1990 and June, 2018. They selected 107 studies for the analysis, grouping them into practice and non-practice research and identifying the trends and characteristics in detail. Results: The study revealed that the literature has grown over the past two decades to include diverse clientele and various units of intervention. Conclusions: Future studies need to adopt more rigorous research methods that are consistent with the poststructuralist worldview underpinning narrative therapy. The authors discussed implications for narrative therapy, future development of family therapy in Korea, and the wellbeing of families who are seen by narrative therapists.
