남자 대학생의 성희롱 통념과 공감능력 및 성추행 피해자에 대한 공감이 사회적 반응에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구에서는 남자 대학생의 성희롱 통념 수용도와 공감능력 및 성추행 피해자에 대한 공감이 성추행 피해자에 대한 긍정적인 사회적 반응과 부정적인 사회적 반응에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구의 참가자는 남자 대학생 205명이었고, 성희롱 통념 수용도 척도와 공감능력 척도에 응답을 한 뒤, 성추행 피해자의 일기를 읽고 나서 성추행 피해자에 대한 공감 척도와 사회적 반응 척도에 응답하였다. 위계적 회귀 분석 결과, 공감능력이 크고 성추행 피해자에 대한 공감이 높을수록 긍정적인 사회적 반응을 많이 하였고, 성희롱 통념 수용도가 높을수록 부정적인 사회적 반응을 많이 하였다. 또한 성추행 피해자에 대한 공감이 성희롱 통념 수용도와 부정적인 사회적 반응의 관계를 조절하는 경향성이 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 한계와 추후 연구를 위한 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate effects of sexual harassment myth, empathic ability, and sexual molestation victim empathy on positive social reactions and negative social reactions to sexual molestation victim. Participants are 205 male undergraduates. Participants responded to sexual harassment myth acceptance scale and empathic ability scale. Then, they read the diary of sexual molestation victim, and responded to a questionnaire measuring empathy about sexual molestation victim and a questionnaire measuring social reactions. The result of hierarchial regression analysis indicated that the more empathic ability and sexual molestation victim empathy participants had, the more positive social reactions participants did. And the more sexual harassment myth participants accepted, the more negative social reactions participants did. Also, sexual molestation victim empathy tended to moderate the relationship between sexual harassment myth acceptance and negative social reactions. The limits of this study were discussed with the suggestions for the further research.
