- Abstract
- Since university is a higher educational institute that carries out education and human resource cultivation, itmust provide its students―a crucial part of society in the future ―incentives to save energy. The investigator hopes study findings will contribute to the change of university students’ life-style andmake university not suffer the disgrace of an institute which consumes much energy but become a cornerstone of preventing national crisis of energy and climatic change.
In order to understand environmental policies that could be applicable to the sector of university, literature data on environmental policies of domestic and overseas governments and universities were collected and then an empirical study was carried out via a questionnaire survey of university students, thus examining the relationship among university students’ life-style, intent of energy saving and intent of environmental activities. In addition, the characteristics of university students who are expected to be amajor class of participating in environmental policieswere looked into.
