유아 또래놀이에서 발견되는 사회·도덕적 가치

Abstract

본 논문은 유아의 사회·도덕성 측면에서 본 또래놀이의 가치에 대한 문헌 고찰이다. 전통적인 발달심리학, 교육학 이론에서 놀이가 유아의 사회성 혹은 도덕성 변인들과 관련이 있다는 연구들은 많이 존재한다. 그러나 놀이는 곧 인간의 문화와 삶 자체라는 Huizinga의 관점을 투영하여 유아의 놀이를 분석한 연구는 거의 드물다. 본 논문은 Huizinga의 호모루덴스 개념을 출발점으로 하여, 놀이에서 발견되는 사회·도덕적 가치를 분석하였다. 그 결과, ‘놀이와 규칙’ ‘놀이 속의 갈등’ ‘또래놀이에서 발견되는 사회·도덕적 가치’ 로 체계화하여 유아의 또래놀이에서 발견되는 사회·도덕적 가치를 Huizinga의 이론적 틀을 토대로 하여 설명하였다. 결론에서는 놀이 안에 존재하는 일정한 규칙을 경험하고, 규칙으로 인해 발생되는 긴장과 갈등을 겪으면서 강요나 주입의 방식이 아닌, 놀면서 깨달을 수 있는 도덕적 측면에 대하여 논하였다.

This study reviewed social and moral aspects of young children’s play applying Huizinga’s concept of homo-ludens. There have been numerous studies regarding the relationship between play and children’s development. However, few studies have been conducted to specify how young children’s social and moral aspects can be emerged during play. This study started from the concept of Huizinga’s homo-ludens, and made connections with young children’s play in terms of rules, conflicts, and social-moral values. It discussed that rules existing within play provided young children opportunities to develop autonomy. Also, young children can learn others’ perspectives through solving conflicts, and finally they found morality within play.
