국내 교정시설의 치유환경 요인분석과 수용자 환경평가 연구

Abstract

교정시설은 수용자를 사회로부터 격리 및 구금하고형기동안 교육 및 교화활동을 통해 재사회화하여 출소 이후 재범을 일으키지 않고 안정적으로 사회에 복귀 할 수 있도록 함이다. 수용자의 범죄성을 교정교화하고 재사회화하는 과정을 ‘치유’로 볼 때 교정시설의물리적 환경은 이러한 치유 과정에 긍정적 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 교정시설의 물리적 환경 특성 중 치유 환경의 요인과 요소는 무엇이 있는지를 조사하고자 한다. 이를 위해 문헌조사를통해 치유환경의 개념을 조사하고 국내⋅외 사례를통하여 교도소 환경의 특성과 교화과정에 긍정적 요인을 미칠 특성을 조사하고 마지막으로 교도소 환경을 평가를 통하여 치유환경을 구성하는 요인과 항목을 규명하고자 한다. 총 186부의 설문지를 수거하였으며 내용은 기능적환경요소, 심리적 환경요소, 사회적 환경요소로 나누어 조사하였고 SPSS를 이용한 요인분석을 통하여 교도소환경의 치유환경 요인을 분석하였다. 또한 각 요인별로 교도소 환경의 특성을 조사하였다. 조사결과, 교도소 환경의 치유환경 요인은 거주성, 프라이버시, 쾌적성1, 쾌적성2의 요인으로 나타났으며 교도소 환경은 전반적으로 매우 열악한 것으로 나타났다.

The correctional facilities is to isolate prisoners from society, detain them, and to re-socialize them through education and edification activities during the punishment The physical environment of prison can positively influence prisoners so that so that they can return to society without causing crime or something illegal after release. The purpose of this study is to investigate the concept of healing or restorative environmental features, to find out factor structure of the restorative environment and to investigate the prisoners’ evaluation of the correctional facilities. The contents of questionnaire were functional, psychological and social aspects of the prison environment. A total of 186 questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS. Factor analysis and t-test were conducted. As a result, healing factors are habitability, privacy, and comfort. The environment condition of correctional facilities investigated were poor condition in general.
