영아기 자녀 아버지의 역할인식과 역할수행에 대한 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 영아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 역할인식과 실제 역할수행 정도를 각각 알아보고, 응답한 아버지의 개인적 배경에 따라 분석하였다. 또한 영아기 자녀를 둔 아버지가 인식한 아버지의 역할인식과 실제 역할수행간의 차이를 살펴보고 아버지의 배경변인에 따라 분석하였다. 서울시 G구의 어린이집에 자녀를 보내고 있는 영아기 자녀를 둔 아버지 193명을 연구대상으로 하여 설문 조사하였다. 설문지는 영아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 인적환경 조성의 역할, 영아의 능력을 개발하는 역할, 기본적인 훈육의 역할, 정서적 안정감을 갖게 하는 역할, 바람직한 성격형성을 도와주는 역할, 건강관리의 역할, 가정융화의 역할, 부모자신을 위해 노력하는 역할의 8개 영역 37문항으로 구성되어 있으며, 수집된 자료는 기술 통계와 t-검증, ANOVA를 이용해 분석하였다. 연구 결과 영아기 자녀를 둔 아버지는 기본적인 훈육의 역할에 대한 역할인식 정도가 가장 높았고, 정서적 안정감을 갖게 하는 역할에 대한 역할수행 정도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 영아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 역할인식과 역할수행 실제 간에는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate fathers' perceptions on the primary roles and the role practices of fathers with infants, and the difference between the perceived primary roles and the role practices. To conduct this research, the survey data were collected from 193 fathers who had an infant in Seoul. The instrument which consists of 8 different roles of fathers was used in order to measure the fathers' perception on primary roles and role practices of fathers with infants. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive data analysis, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance. The results indicated that the fathers' perceptions on the primary roles of fathers with infants were considerably higher than average. In particular, the fathers with infants had higher perceptions on the role of disciplining infants' behaviors than other roles. The results also indicated that the fathers' perceptions on the role practices of fathers with infants were slightly higher than average. In particular, the fathers with infants perceived that they were more likely to perform the role of providing emotional support for their infants in practice than other roles. There were statistically significant differences in terms of the fathers' age and occupation. Finally, The results indicated that there was a statistically significant difference between fathers' perception on the primary roles and the role practices of fathers with infants. That is, fathers' perceptions on the primary roles of fathers with infants were statistically higher than fathers' perceptions on the role practices of fathers with infants.
