종교성향과 청소년의 주관적 행복의 관계에서 개인내적 임파워먼트의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구는 청소년의 외재적, 내재적 종교성향과 주관적 행복간의 관계에서 개인내적 임파워먼트의 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 P, U, K지역 22개 성당에 다니는 중・고등학생 총 632명을 설문조사하였고, 최종 510명의 응답을 구조방정식모형으로 분석하였다. 연구의 주요 결과를 정리하면 첫째, 청소년의 외재적 종교성향은 주관적 행복에 정적인 영향을 미치고, 내재적 종교성향은 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 개인내적 임파워먼트는 주관적 행복에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 개인내적 임파워먼트의 매개효과를 분석한 결과, 외재적 종교성향과 주관적 행복의 관계를 매개하지 않았고, 내재적 종교성향과 주관적 행복과의 관계에서는 부분매개 효과를 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 내재적 종교성향은 개인내적 임파워먼트를 통해 주관적 행복을 증가시킨다는 것이다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 주요 연구함의들을 결론 및 논의에서 제안하였다.

This study aims to verify the mediating effects of intrapersonal empowerment on the relation between extrinsic/intrinsic religious orientation and subjective well-being of youth. For this, a survey was conducted targeting total 632 middle/high school students attending 22 Catholic churches in B, U, and G region, and total 510 questionnaires were analyzed by using the structural equation model. In the results of analysis, first, the extrinsic religious orientation of youth had positive effects on the subjective well-being while the intrinsic religious orientation had negative effects on it. Second, the intrapersonal empowerment had direct effects on the subjective well-being. Third, in the results of analyzing the mediating effects of intrapersonal empowerment, it did not mediate the relation between extrinsic religious orientation and subjective well-being while there were partial-mediating effects on the relation between intrinsic religious orientation and subjective well-being. In other words, the intrinsic religious orientation increases the subjective well-being through the intrapersonal empowerment. Based on such results, the main implications of this study were suggested in conclusion and discussion.
