국가수준 체육과 교육과정에 나타난 민속스포츠의 역사적 위치와 과제

Abstract

본 연구는 국가수준 체육과 교육과정에 나타난 민속스포츠의 위치와 과제를 역사적으로 조명해 보는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 국가수준 교육과정 문서(1차∼2015개정) 및 신문 등의 자료를 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 1∼3차 교육과정 시기 민속놀이의 가치를 지향하며 교육되어져 오던 민속스포츠는 4차∼7차 교육과정 시기까지 서구 스포츠 종목중심의 체육 교육과정 편성으로 투기도전 활동 내에서만 명맥을 유지해왔다. 그 후 2007개정 교육과정부터 전통 여가 영역이 포함되며 재도약의 기반이 마련되었으나, 그 기회를 살리지 못하고 2015년 개정교육과정에서는 다시 투기도전으로만 남아 있게 되었다. 이는 민속 문화를 담은 현대스포츠로의 발전 노력 미비와 민속놀이 내 사라진 공동체 문화가 원인이 되고 있으며, 향후 이를 개선하기 위해 민속스포츠의 교육용 문화콘텐츠 개발, 교육내용 체계화, 뉴스포츠화 노력이 필요하다.

The purpose of this paper is to explore historical status and tasks of folk sports in national physical education(P.E.) curricular in order to promote Korean folk sports in the future. For doing this, the national curriculum documents and newspapers are analyzed fro the 1st to 2015 national curriculum periods. As a result, the 1st to 3rd curriculum periods have focused on the play-like folk sports, whereas the 4th-7th curriculum periods have emphasized one-on-one physical math, due to introducing westernized sports in Korea. After that, an educational content like ‘Traditional leisure’ has been introduced since in 2007 revised national P.E. curriculum and could be a good chance to promote folk sports in Korea. However, the chance is again lost since in 2015 revised national P.E. curriculum. These low status of folk sports has caused lack of efforts to transform modernized folk sports and lack of community culture in folk sports. In the future, three tasks such as developing educational content, content system, and being newsports of folk sports are accomplished for future development of Korean folk sports.
