- Abstract
- Four Major Inter-korean Agreements on Economic Cooperation and Subsequent Legal Measures for the Vitalization of Economic Interchange Four major Inter-Korean Agreements on Economic Cooperation contribute to the institutionalization and stabilization of economic relations between the South and the North. But it is not sufficient for the vitalizing and expanding of inter-Korean economic exchanges and cooperation. So, we must prepare for the measures to promote and upgradef economic interchanges and cooperation between the two Koreas at the present stage. The most important examples are as follows. First, we should give domestic effect to inter-Korean economic agreements to be adopted in the field of economic cooperation in the future. Second, we should draft model joint venture contracts according to their contents or substance respectively and work out investment settlement mechanism between the South and the North. Third, we should develop inter-Korean commercial arbitration system by providing for more concrete arbitration skill or method. Fourth, we should prepare for the measures to ensure human rights protection of South Korean workers or residents in the Gaesung and Mount Gumkang Area.
