교육대학원 체육계열전공 재교육과정 분석 및 재구조화 방안

Abstract

최근 우리나라도 평생학습사회로 진입하면서 교육대학원 재교육과정의 규모가 점차 커지고 있으나, 양적 성장만큼 질적 성장이 뒤따르지 못하고 있다는 비판이 지속적으로 제기되고 있다. 따라서 본 글은 우리나라 교육대학원 재교육과정에 설치되어 있는 체육계열 전공교육과정의 현황을 분석하고 한계점을 도출한 후, 대안적인 교육과정의 재구조화 방향을 탐색하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 전국에 소재하고 있는 66개 대학교 교육대학원 체육교육전공 교육과정을 홈페이지를 통해 조사하여 그 중 재교육과정만을 운영하는 8개 교육대학원을 최종 연구 대상으로 선정하였다. 8개 교육대학원의 교육과정 운영 현황을 분석한 결과, 대다수의 교육대학원 재교육과정에서 체육학 세부 학문 위주의 교과목이 개설되어, 양성과정과 차이가 없는 재교육과정을 편성‧운영하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 ‘배운 것을 또 배우는 재교육’, ‘편중된 교과 지식의 강화에 집중’하는 한계점으로 도출되었다. 이를 극복하기 위해 본 글에서는 대안적인 재교육과정의 모델이 될 수 있는 서울특별시 소재 A대학의 사례를 제시하고, 해당 교육과정의 특징을 분석하였다. 끝으로, 본 글에서는 A대학의 사례를 기반으로 교육대학원 재교육과정의 2가지 재구조화 방향(학교현장 직무위주 교과목과 교육전문성 신장 교과목)을 제안하였다.

Recently, there are many critiques that the program size of in-service graduate program in education has been growing, but its quality is not guaranteed. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the current status of in-service physical education curriculum in the Korean graduate program, and to guide the alternative directions for re-structuring in-service P.E. curriculum. 8 graduate programs in education are chosen to examine the current status of physical education curriculum and it limitations. As a results, most of curriculum has provided major courses like specific disciplines in Kinesiology that are not different to other graduate program for teaching accreditation. In other words, the limitation in most of given courses has offered 'repetitive courses' and 'unbalanced major knowledge acquisition'. For overcoming the limitations, this paper has introduced the curriculum of 'A' university that could be exemplary to other graduate programs in in-service education, and then analyzed its main characteristics in order to overcome the found limitations. Finally, based on the case of 'A' university, this paper has suggested two directions that would need practical field-based courses and educational expertise-focused courses in the future.
