예비유아교사의 인생각본과 교직 선택 동기가 대학생활만족도에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 예비유아교사의 인생각본과 교직 선택 동기와 대학생활만족 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 나아가 인생각본과 교직 선택 동기가 대학생활만족에 미치는 영향력을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여, 2⋅3⋅4년제 대학교 유아교육과에 재학 중인 예비유아교사 299명을 설문조사한 자료를 기술통계, 분산분석, 상관분석 그리고 회귀분석을 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 예비유아교사의 인생각본의 분포는 넓은 범위를 보여주고 있었다. 그러나 평균값의 경우, 보통이상의 수준을보였다. 교직 선택 동기와 대학생활만족도 역시 평균값의 경우, 측정도구의 중간 값 이상의 수준을보였다. 둘째, 인구사회학적 변인에 따른 차이를 검증한 결과, 대학유형과 경제수준에 따른 인생각본과 대학생활만족의 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 예비유아교사의 인생각본과 능동적 그리고 물질적 교직선택 동기는 대학생활만족과 정적으로 유의한 상관관계를 보여주는 반면에 수동적 교직 선택 동기는인생각본과 대학생활만족과 부적인 상관관계를 보여주었다. 넷째, 투입방식을 달리 한 두 종류의 회귀분석 모두에서 예비유아교사의 인생각본과 능동적 동기는 대학생활만족에 강력한 영향력을 행사하고 있었고 모델들의 설명력도 높았다. 이는 예비유아교사의 어린 시절부터 형성 되어온 인생각본이현재의 대학생활만족에 강력하게 작용하고 있고, 또한 능동적으로 교직을 선택한 동기 역시 대학생활만족에 중요한 영향요인으로 작용하고 있음을 보여준다 하겠다. 이러한 결과는 예비유아교사의 대학생활만족을 높이기 위해서 인생각본을 높이거나, 능동적 동기를 획득할 수 있는 전략이 필요함을 시사한다. 따라서 본 연구는 유아교사양성기관에서의 학생지도에 있어 각본분석 적용의 잠재적 가능성과 더불어 능동적 동기 유발의 중요성을 제시하였다는 점에 그 의의를 갖는다.

The purposes of this study were a) to examine the relationships between life scripts (LS) and motivations of choosing a teaching profession(MCTP), and LS and college life satisfaction (CLS), and b) to analyze the effects of LS and MCTP on CLS among the pre-service early childhood teachers. To achieve the purposes, a data set drawn from the 299 pre-service early childhood teachers from 2 universities and 4 colleges in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheong-do in Korea. By using SPSS 23.0, descriptive statistics, ANOVA with post hot tests, correlations and regression analysis were conducted. The results from this study showed the LS and the CLS levels varied by the type of institution (i.e., university or college), and perceived economic status. The LS, the active MCTP, the material MCTP and CLS were positively correlated to each other whereas the passive MCTP was negatively correlated to the other study variables at the statistically significant levels. In the predicting models, LS had the robust effects on the CLS as the regression model proceeded with the MCTP variables. Among the MCTP variables, only the active MCTP had the significant impacts on the CLS. Based on the results from this study, authors suggested a) the possibilities of utilization of LS to promote CLS among the university/college students, and b) to gain the active MCTP could be the important tasks.
