부모-유아 상호작용과 유아의 사회적 유능감 간의 관계: 부모의 우울과 유아의 행복감의 매개효과 검증

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 부모-유아의 상호작용, 우울, 유아의 행복감 및 사회적 유능감 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 부모와 유아의 상호작용이 유아의 사회적 유능감에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 부모의 우울과 유아의 행복감이 매개역할을 하는지 살펴보는 데 있다. 이를 위해 육아정책연구소에서 시행한 ‘한국아동패널’ 7차년도 데이터를 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과를 살펴보면, 첫째 유아의 사회적 유능감은 부모와 유아의 상호작용 및 유아의 행복감과 정적 상관이 있는 반면 부모의 우울과는 부적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모와 유아의 상호작용이 유아의 사회적 유능감에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 부모의 우울과 유아의 행복감은 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과, 유아의 사회적 유능감을 향상시키기 위해서 부모와 유아의 상호작용 질과 유아의 행복감을 높이고, 부모의 우울을 낮출 수 있는 방안에 대한 연구가 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between parent-child interaction, parent 's depression, childhood happiness, and social competence. In addition, this study was given to the mediating effect of Parent’s Depression and Childhood Happiness. For this purpose, we analyzed the 7th year data of 'Korean Children Panel' conducted by Child-Care Policy Research Institute. The results of this study are as follows: First, children's social competence was positively associated with parent-child interaction and childhood happiness, but negatively associated with parent 's depression. Second, parent 's depression and childhood happiness played a mediating role in the process of influencing children 's social competence. The results of this study indicate that it is necessary to study how to improve the quality of interaction between parents and children, to improve the childhood happiness and to reduce their parents' depression in order to improve their social competence.
