- Abstract
- Infrared photography is applied to the evidence of crime, medical imaging, security, and
military field. In the past, Infrared photography was taken by a film, which is very sensitive
to the Temperature. Due to the inconvenient adjustment, diverse applications were limited.
However, it is expected to apply in the various field so that it is able to take the infrared
photography using a digital camera. According to the different spectrum characteristics, Infrared
photography is getting low quality of resolution. In General, polarization is useful to take a
clear image in visible rays. We applied infrared polarized filter to the Infrared photography.
In this paper, When using the infrared polarized filter, We can estimate the increase of image
resolution and contrast with the resolution target. Furthermore, We compare infrared images
with polarized infrared images to confirm the results of analysis.
