Abstract
In this paper, the method for evaluation target development is presented. This method can be utilized for users to recognize color resolution, color realization, and optimization state of ink-jet printer. For this research, the evaluation target for color resolution is chosen in the vector graphics. This is because we can observe all the color resolution from only one target, and the file rasterizing conditions are exactly same for all the printers. However, the evaluation target for characteristics of color realization is developed both in vector and in bitmap environment, since according to color engine and algorithm, the rasterizing can be different very much. Also, from evaluation target under both conditions, the color and contrast pixel can be equally distributed with the same difference, and theoretical color realization constant can be predicted more exactly. In addition, the targets which are developed in this research can be implemented in various forms in terms of resolution of file rasterizing and category of the output profile, and this various forms lead the various evaluation depth according to the different accuracy.
