- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences about the techniques and attack patterns at the score zone(area) included all highly and lowly ranked teams. The data were collected from total 24 games as selected 6 team among 16 national teams competes 4 times, including from the beginning of the preliminary stages to the final match. For the tools of measurement, the official match reports of the FIBA and Dartfish Team Pro Ver. 4.09 were used as the tools for measurements. Then, the statistical package SPSS WIN 14.0 was used to conduct the number of shoot attenpts and successful shoots the success rate and t-test. The significant level was set as p<.05. The results were as following; Firstly, highly ranked teams showed the significant differences at the 2-point zone. On the other hand, lowly ranked teams did the same at the 3-point zone, specially 45˚ right side. Secondly, all teams showed their own significant differences of the average scores according to the post attack and fast break scores. Thirdly, no other team showed the significant difference at the numbers of attack rebounds and free throw trials, as well as the average scores of attack rebounds and free throws. Finally, as the results of analyzing the video, it was shown that all teams tried attacks and got the scores frequently at the paint 2-point zone by practicing their post players. This study is in agreement on a recent basketball trend that the team, which use its speed and height, can be ranked a high position.
