- Abstract
- This study describes the development process of a new method for custom white balance using a gray ball. When we take a picture with a digital photography system and a gary card, it has a problem of white balance. Because gray card gives information for 2Dimensional Object. For example, it cannot reproduce the right white balance result when we use different light sources on a 3Dimensional Object. Because each reflect angle is different. This study suggests a method using a gray ball. We can obtain white point information from different light sources to take a picture of a gray ball. It represents two or more pictures of different white balance result with using a RAW file converter program. Reproduced pictures have the right white balance result to each different part. This is compares each picture's same address pixels and combines the right pixel considering the each pixel's △ E(-L) value near the white point in color space.
