Abstract
As the city has highly developed and number of cars are growing, living environment is getting worse. One of serious problems is lack of parking space in urban residential area. So, city is required to supply infrastructure. But, both limited land resources and financial problems make it impossible to supply infrastructure. As a new alternative to solving this problems, the necessity of multi-dimensional planning of public facilities was emphasized. and there is a growing tendency to secure parking space through using of schools and parks. Schools and parks that are one of primary public facilities play a key role in the town life. And these public facilities is easy to get public open space and make better use of own functions. However, we need to consider not only efficiency of multi-dimensional planning but also the safety of users. Because people using parks and schools include young students and the elderly. And it is also quite important to continue to provide the existing fundamental functions. This study analyzed physical characteristics and the utilization of schools and parks with parking facilities in urban residentual areas in seoul. And suggest the design guideline considering the efficiency of multi-dimensional planning, the safety of users, and the functionality of facilities. Subject of suggestions is the conditions of urban residential areas, the conditions of a location, multi-dimensional planning following terrain conditions, the adjacent road conditions and entrance plan and the structure of facilities.
