Abstract
This study examines the casual mechanism between job seeking method and overeducation of young people , by drawing upon the panel data of the KLIPS(Korean Labor & Income Panel Stedy) 6th~11th. Main research findings can be summarised as belows. First, education only affects to objective overeducation, and has been confirmed that possibility of overeducation is higher for higher education. Second, work status only affects to subjective overeducation, and a regular worker has more possibility than irregular workers to be overeducated. Third, job seeking method only affect to objective overeducation. When workers get a job by institutional job matching networks, have low possibility to be overeducated. Finally, regardless of overeducation class, gender and living area exercise significant influence. Tendency of overeducation is higher for male than female, and non-capital area resident have high tendency to be overeducation.
