- Abstract
- Digital camera is one of the equipments that record information . Digital camera goes throughthe process of changing light information which is analog into digital. In this case, colorh this process occurs aproblem of data value not matching. In addition, color value c hanges by the equipment usedto express it. CMS is one of the ways to match these equipment 's gamut to the nearest.Digital camera which is the initial input device in these CMS p rocesses realistically often skipthe calibration process and it was usually done by the monitor which is the output device. There are two ways in camera calibration. One is using Gretag Macbeth's eye-one and thisphotographs color chart SG and uses this to gather data to crea te profiles. Calibration is doneby using these profiles and assigning them. The other way is d one by photographing GretagMacbeth's color checker in Raw file and then make it in accorda nce with the original referencedata. However even these kinds of calibration is not accurate at this time. Therefore, morelors for the camera and then itwould be possible to use more accurate and objective colors.Just as ships can not travel without a help from map and compas s, image file would causeerrors with its tons and qualities if profile information is no t included in the file. Especiallyprograms that can not read ICC color profile information, disfi guration of image tons and colorqualities will be more extreme level. Hence, we need better und erstanding of ICC color profile's‘ton expression areas: Gamut' and ton changes for the print purposes.
