- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between the Big 5 personality factors(Extraversion, Neuroticism, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, and Intellect) and leisure behavior intention in the academcic setting of university student. The Korean version of NEO-PI-R personality test was administered to college students in the classroom and the personality test scores were obtained. The subjects totalled 240 person(144-mail, 95-female) who participating in leisure sport and exercise sport. The age of subjects ranged from 18-24(M=21.54). Cronbach's Alpha was calculated to test the reliability of items and their internal consistency. Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA) was conducted to test the factor validity of this inventory with AMOS 4.0, for windows. Results indicated that in Leisure behavior intention Scale were domain among original statistically fit with proposed model and NEO-PI-R Scale were 5 sub domain among original statistically fit with proposed model. NEO-PI-R personality and Leisure behavior intention were positive, and personality factors effect on Leisure behavior intention.
